Campus Connect Inc.

Campus Connect Inc is the leading college magazine distributor in the U.S. We hand deliver magazines to over 200 college campuses nationwide. We have 9 years experience offering full service distribution for magazine publishers.

Campus Connect Inc hand delivers magazines in high-traffic locations on 200 colleges across the U.S. These locations always include the student union, library, recreation centers and major hallways.

The benefits of hand delivery on campus are multiple:

--Brand awareness of your publication. Students always know where to find it.

--Presentation. We set up (and sell) metal display racks that we can place your magazine in each time.

--Savings. Our distribution is usually more cost effective than newspaper inserts. Plus we report on how your publication is moving.

--Campus Connect has successfully distributed Student Traveler Magazine the past eight years. As our circulation has grown from 3,000 to 250,000, Campus Connect has been able to facilitate our growth with finding new schools to distribute to.

- Jeff Booth, Chief Operating Officer, Student Traveler.

--In our two year relationship, Campus Connect has given us the opportunity to double our circulation from 100,000 to 200,000 and trust that our magazine is effectively getting into student's hands nationwide.

--Frank Valencia, Latino U magazine fvalencia@latcominc.com

Every company needs a story. Here is ours'--

Campus Connect Inc. has been delivering magazines to the college market since 1997. The company's president, Eric Tiettmeyer, started Student Traveler Magazine out of his dorm room at UC Irvine in Southern California. Student Traveler was hand delivered to college campuses throughout Southern California to save the high cost of postage and to make sure every copy was picked up.

After graduation, advertisers urged Eric to take Student Traveler national. It was 1999. Unfortunately, Eric's Toyota Tercel had 380,000 miles on it and couldn't make the trip across the country. So Eric used Auto Driveaway, a service where you drive other people's cars across the country, and pay no fee.

Eric would wait for an SUV to come available and then load the vehicle with 15,000 magazines and drive across the country and deliver magazines at campuses along the way. Once he reached Florida, another shipment of magazines waited for him, and then he would find another Auto Driveaway to take to the Mid Atlantic and distribute to colleges along that road. Finally, he would get an Auto Driveaway back to Los Angeles and distribute to colleges on the way back.

Student Traveler was successfully able to hand deliver 50,000 copies of the magazine every two months in 100 colleges across the U.S. Ten years later, we work with three publications on a national level, including Student Traveler, Young Money and Latino University. We use our own vehicles now - Chevy 3500 Express Vans. But the goal to successfully hit all the colleges on our list, and drop magazines in the highest trafficked areas is still our number one goal.
